Yum! Lately I've been on the hunt for really good local pizza places that deliver. We seem to fall in a rut and only order from the same 3-4 places we've been using for years, none of which ever knock me off my feet. My mom and I just ordered a pizza from here for the first time tonight. The guy who took my order was really friendly and even complimented my choice of fresh garlic and the delivery guy was fast and very friendly as well. We got the 'special pie' well done with onions, mushrooms, green peppers, pepperoni, sausage and fresh garlic and it was really good. The crust was thin and crispy the, the pizza was hot and all the ingredients were fresh. I saw other reviews on here talking about ingredients being canned and not fresh...listen when it comes to mushrooms I'm a mushroom connoisseur...I love mushrooms and honestly canned mushrooms don't bother me but those mushrooms were fresh dammit! So were the green peppers which you could tell were freshly diced and all the other ingredients. Will definitely be ordering from them again!

This is my second review for this place; the first was for their excellent phone manners. This one is for their salads and cheese steaks. I love their salads; very fresh, large portions, and just really well put together. I am a meat lover, so reviewing salads is not what I do usually, but I had to write in about these salads. Cheese steaks this close to Philly are never going to make everyone happy. Just too much history and taste preferences. But this is what *I* like about Luigi's steaks - great bread that soaks up the juices, lots of meat chopped up with onions on the grill, delivered piping hot. You like your steaks that way, you'll like Luigi's. All delivered within the promised time. These guys are consistent, have been for the year or so that I have bought their wares.

Solid NY style thin crust pizza establishment. They make a delicious white pizza pie but adding on toppings can get a little expensive (but worth it)!!! They run a great lunch special of 2 slices and a drink for $4.75. Although their fresh ingredients/toppings are outstanding, what gets me the most is simply their crust! Crunchy, crispy, thin, light, and it crackles perfectly as you fold it in half and shove it in your mouth! Umm I'm basically talking myself into ordering dinner tonight from here right now.

I would recommend this place to everyone. It's amazing. They have great service, great food, and I've never had a problem. The staff is attentive, they remember you, and quick to serve you. When calling in orders, if you've called before they rarely need to ask for your name or number, and still have your order ready by name upon arrival. I'd recommend the buffalo chicken cheesesteak, it's made with real chicken breast, cut into nice chunks of meat.

Finally. My search for good baked ziti in my area is over, after many tries at many different places. I know that doesn't sound like a big deal, but I subscribe to the (very true!) theory that if an Italian delivery place cannot make a good baked ziti, the rest is going to be lacking as well. The best thing about their baked ziti: it's totally full of garlic! This is a VERY GOOD THING. Well, not for my breath. But who is paying attention?

Ordered a few days ago and got the bare bones basics: large plain pie, cheesesteak, fries. Placed an order for delivery. Order came prompt and hot. Pizza was thin crust and slightly better than average. Cheesesteak had an OK roll but definitely lacked quantity of meat. Fries were sort of the beer battered type. Nice and crispy. UPDATE: The last two times I've called to order I was placed on hold and never returned to. I don't beg for pizza in a competitive market. One time is one thing, Twice? I'm done.

My father and I ate there around 5p on Sunday, April 17th. We ordered and split a mushroom cheesesteak and a margherita pizza with black olives and mushrooms. The total came to about $30, which included my soda. I noticed that there was a sign from the owners (this place is new) stating that they will no longer accept coupons due "to rising costs in food prices". Wow, I knew I was in for a treat! We sat down and the young lady brought us the cheesesteak. The sandwich was pretty good however, they were very sparse with the meat. The price of this was $5.25 plus .50 for the mushrooms plus .25 = $6.00. I'm surprised they charged for fried onions since the 1,000 other places I've visited never do. On to the pizza review.... I have to say that this was the WORST pizza I've ever had in my life. They advertise they have the Best Pizza in Elkins Park but it could be in the running for the worst of the Philadelphia Metro area! The margherita pizza by design, is supposed to have fresh basil and mozzarella. I really doubt fresh ingredients were used as I've had many good margherita pizzas before. The pizza was not done well enough as globs of hot piping sauce (I suppose it was canned stewed tomatoes) and cheese slid off to make the eating experience even worse. The pizza was devoid of flavor. I'm not sure if the past reviewers came on a good night when they could make an acceptable pizza, but it makes me wonder if they are friends and family of coworkers and owners. The male workers seemed more interested in having mundane conversation with each other than making good quality pizza. They never asked us if we enjoyed our food. Wait, I thought new businesses (and good existing businesses) should do this? Hmm, guess they don't want to stay in business too long. I just baked a Kashi pizza that tasted 10X better than the one I had Sunday afternoon. I saved about $10 too (Margherita Pizza is a whopping $15.50). Sadly, I like local businesses but can't recommend this place. I will not return.

made a yelp account just cause i was so dissatisfied with my delivery. waited an hour and a half for my cold pizza when they told me it would take 30-45 minutes and when i got my pizza, i ordered hawaiian, there was an average of 3 pineapple chunks on each slice. cant believe i paid 20 dollars for this piece of cardboard.

We have ordered from Luigis a few times over the past few months and have had all good experiences. The delivery was quick and the food was still hot and the delivery guy was very nice. We have had cheese steaks, pizza, the spaghetti and meat balls, and salads. Everything was fresh and delicious. This is our new favorite pizza shop. I ordered 6 pies for my sons birthday in December and everyone at the party commented on how good the pizza was, especially the crust. Very home made.

Good food, nothing mind blowing, BUT wonderful service and employees keep us ordering again and again. Their computer system makes phone orders a breeze, very happy ordering here.

I've been here 2 times in the last couple weeks and have very mixed feelings. The first time I went, I ordered a chicken parm sandwich and I really enjoyed it! It was just the right amount of sauce & cheese! Some of the chicken was a little fatty, but overall a decent sandwich that I would order again. This week I ordered a turkey cheeseburger and curly fries. The curly fries were good. However, the turkey burger was terrible. The burger was mushy and unseasoned. It was clearly not fresh ground turkey. I squeezed the flat burger with my fingers and water (or something) flowed out. It was just so gross I couldn't eat it. It's really a shame since my first experience was so good. My recommendation would be to remove that turkey burger from the menu. It was truly inedible.

We ordered from this place because it was close to the Conklin Swimming Pool. The delivery was prompt but the food was subpar. The Italian hoagie had fresh bread but the meat was virtually flavorless. Also, the boneless wings with honey BBQ were chicken fingers covered in sauce. Fair prices but will Definitely avoid this place in the future.

Luigi's has pizza ovens! Not conveyor belts! This is the first sign of a quality pizza joint. Got a pie for takeout recently on a neighbor's recommendation. Very good pie, thin crust, crispy edges, good sauce. I put this on-par with nearby Vincent's in Rockledge and bonus, they deliver. This is a relatively new place, so I wonder if the negatives are due to start-up issues or a very competitive pizza market.

Today was my first visit at Luigi's. The service was great, the place was clean. We ordered the sampler, wings and the Philly bacon steak. The food was not so great. The Philly bacon steak was way too greasy and the other fried foods we had - the grease flavor overwhelmed the taste of the food. I'm no expert but maybe it was old grease?? I'd go here again and stay away from the fried food and try a pizza, the guy making them looked like he put a lot of love in it. :)

I was disappointed by a strange miss-step. The most basic of Philly foods, the cheesesteak, was not good. To much roll (not the right kind or consistency) and not enough meat. They don't chintz on the size of their items, but they need to improve this item.

Pizza

Pizza is a famous Italian dish savored around the world. The entire credit for the popularity of Pizza in the United States goes to the chain of pizzerias all over the country. While the base and the texture of Pizza remains same across the globe, it's the toppings that differs from country to country. In the United States, you will find the top pizzerias serving pizzas with the toppings of mainly beef, bacon, chicken, ham, and sausage for the non-vegetarians. Other than these famous meat options, Pizzas with veg toppings such as mushrooms, pepperonis, garlic, tomatoes, spinach, etc. are also famous in most restaurants in the United States.

Irrespective of your locality, you will find a variety of different restaurants in your cities offering pizzas of all different types. Pizza is hot favorite among people of all ages in the United States. A large size pizza is enough to feed a family of 3 or 4 at large. Pizza is also the most preferred food whenever a group of friends is hanging out together. Pizza gained popularity in the United States after the American soldiers stationed in Italy returned from World War II.

Over the years, different pizzerias in the United States have developed their own respective regional variations. Pizza gained popularity as the iconic dish in the United States in the second half of the 20th century. Whether you prefer thin or thick crust pizza, you can find a pizza of your preference at the best pizza restaurants in your city.

Italian Cuisine

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.

Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.

If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.
